Barefoot Beach

Our last morning in Naples, we went to Barefoot Beach..I thought it was an ironic name because the whole beach was full of sea shells making walking barefoot a bit painful.

There is sand under these sea shells I promise :)

Airboating :)

Our second day in Naples, we went airboating.  This is a boat ride but it is more wildlife based.  We saw alligators, cows, and all sorts of birds.

This is the airboat.  If you can see the motor is on the back because we go over shallow waters and having it in the water would get us stuck.

The motor could get kind of loud so we had these ear muffs to put on.

Here we go, in between the everglades! You can't do this in a speed boat.  You can thank that motor for that! 

A neat little bird who dives but doesn't have the normal oil on his wings to repel the water so he does this little dance to air dry his wings so he can fly.

The airboating place gave us each 25$ in credit to the casino.  My parents or I never had been to a casino so this was definitely a new experience! 

So how do we play?

We didn't make out too well though..I won $13.25, Mom won $12 something, Dad $17, Aunt Pam won the most with 40 something.  

Naples, Day 1

My Aunt Pam lives in Naples, Florida.  So Wednesday we drove 3.5 hours to Naples to visit.  It was a very pretty place and I didn't get as many pictures as I should have.  

We went on a Jet Boat this day.  Think of it like a huge jet ski.  Our driver took us out to the Gulf of Mexico and did a couple of turns and donuts on the water.  We also saw a couple of dolphins swimming close by!

After the jet boat, we went to happy hour at a local restaurant and I tried some sushi and lobster for the first time.  That was interesting... This is a picture of a street in Naples where the tress are blooming and I just thought it looked pretty :)

We then went to the beach and just walked around.  It was a cloudy day so we didn't see the sunset.  But the beach is always a fun thing to do.

Welcome Mom and Dad!

My lovely parents came to Florida for 6 days to visit :)

Our first day I took them to the flower and garden festival at Epcot.  This is the same festival as my last post but its so beautiful I took a couple more pictures :)

After Epcot, we washed up and headed out to dinner and then went to Magic Kingdom to see Magic, Memories, and Me.  This is the pre-show to the firework show, Wishes.  This is where they light up the castle in different ways.  This one looks as if there are flowers growing on it.

Last but not least, a stay in Florida is not complete without a awesome firework show.
